The Royal Netherlands Yacht Club (Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeil- & Roeivereeniging – KNZ&RV) is the oldest water sports club in the Netherlands established in 1847, and located in Muiden and Enkhuizen.The KNZ&RV is a club with a long history, fine traditions, and full of life! It is actively involved in numerous national and international sailing and rowing races, and also in recreational sailing and rowing tours in the Netherlands and abroad. In the area Muiden used to be a historical port. For centuries, the large fleet of fishing boats played a dominant role in the small town. The famous Muiderslot, the Groote Zeesluis (a large sea lock from the time that Muiden was still situated on the Zuyder Zee), and the old town centre still remind us of this era. In the IJmeer, immediately off the coast of Muiden, is Fort Island Pampus, which was originally built as a part of the Amsterdam Defence Line. There is a daily ferry service from Muiden to Pampus. History

The Royal Netherlands Yacht Club (Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeil- en Roeivereeniging in the Dutch language) is a Dutch yacht club and rowing club based in Muiden. It has two marinas: in Muiden and in Enkhuizen. The organisation was founded in 1847 and is the oldest – remaining – water sports club in the Netherlands. The KNZ&RV was one of the clubs that were founding the Royal Netherlands Watersport Association (1890) and the Royal Dutch Rowing Federation (1917).
