    At The Sailing Society ‘The first Global Yacht club’, we are committed to support you in Navigating a Sea of Adventures, encouraging sailors to connect and providing you with relevant and timely information on regatta’s, sailing yachts, charters, flotillas and spectator events.

  • The information that’s shared with us helps us to provide a better service and guarantee a great experience. Whatever data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

          • To inform you about upcoming events, sailing adventures and/or charter opportunities;
          • To administer membership, contract obligations and to collect, accept or transfer the payments to you, subscription and advertising fees due, if applicable;
          • To create and personalise your personal sailor profile in order to facilitate connecting sailors worldwide;
          • To initiate and facilitate the process of advertising on our website;
          • To collect information about your actions on our website in order to improve our online services;
          • To inform you about any updates to our products and services ensuring compliance with our Terms & Conditions and/or Privacy Policy.

3. What information do we collect?

  • We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and your consent. You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of the available services.

    The categories of personal information that we may collect and hold include:

          • Essential information required to receive and provide services via The Sailing Society Website such as name, surname, email address, date of birth, gender, mobile phone number and user password;
          • Your biography and sailing experience, data on your sailing yacht and its location to accommodate crew, charters etc.;
          • Information about your financial transactions conducted through our website to process payments and comply with applicable law. These may include, among other things, the information of the payment card or bank account, information regarding posted events or participation in them;
          • During each visit you make to our website we may collect information such as your IP address, login information, your type of browser and associated plug-ins, information on download errors and the duration of visits to site pages.
